The success of our school is dependent on dedicated parent volunteers. Acceptance to EVCA requires parents to provide individual volunteer hours to support the school and/or its functions. By working together we can invigorate the school community and see our school flourish. The EVCA Foundation has a wide range of volunteer offerings that incorporate many skill sets and personality types.

fundraising event coordination

Looking for fun, creative, motivated and organized individuals to help us plan, coordinate and execute our fundraising events. Some of our fundraising efforts require the help of many volunteers and someone with great people skills would be a great help. We may need help creating flyers or informative brochures for our events a graphically creative and linguistically inclined person would be a great asset to our volunteer team. Whatever you excel at, join us and help to make the EVCA Foundation events and fundraisers exceptional.

Grant writing

The area that has shown the most promise, but the Foundation has not had the manpower to fully reap the benefits, is the writing of grants or funding requests. Various companies and organizations offer money for education activities. We are looking for self-starters, who are able to describe our school and how the awarded money will be used to benefit EVCA. Volunteers are needed to research funding organizations and then write grant requests.

marketing and communication

Our fundraising efforts and school events require us to communicate clearly and regularly to our school community. We need to coordinate with the fundraising team to make sure everyone involved knows the details of our events. We are always in need of volunteers to learn and assist with Constant Contact, our email service to the school. Volunteers are needed to update the website and organize sign-ups for our various functions. We also welcome anyone with marketing experience to help us make our school’s mission known in the community and encourage businesses and private donors to partner with us to ensure our school’s success.

Landscaping

Our large campus requires a lot of upkeep, and we welcome volunteers to help us keep it looking beautiful. While we do have some professional help, there are always projects to be done: pulling the weeds that spring up quickly, ensuring drainage is working properly, and keeping everything clean and well-maintained. We have periodic workdays and encourage our parents and families to volunteer a few hours to take care of our school. We are committed to making sure the community is proud of our campus!
